130.4 waterbox just got salty

Just waiting for @Hemmdog to get bored during this stay at home order and cut a frogspawn head for me. Ahah;). I don't even remember what they looked like but j just want a classic purple tip

gotta ask @Hemmdog how did you get the chalice that i picked up from you to grow like a mountain/dome shape instead of flat on a 2" disk. looking to copy the same way with a new chalice i might pick up...

Currently got week 8 of vibrant going on. But also to tackle the dang bryopsis im on 14th day of fluconazole(reef flux). Red cyano popped up since doing this. Bryopsis has died back. But I'm expecting to do another flucon 21 day dose after this

The dang yellow Cori's is picking at every single snail in my tank even huge Mexicans. Which causes them to flip over on their back and I turn over every day and Cori's is.right back at it lol. How do people keep snails cleaning rockwork if they just attack. Lol.

hes maybe 3 inches.. 2.5-3
Crazy.. my coris it probably 2.5 but my Timor is 3 but even the small snails have been left alone.

I expect that will change! But I do feed a lot of food....like until they can't eat anymore and their bellies are distended.

my other half fed my fish today and large male pintail leaped out the tank through the feed hole lol.... she said she scooped him up immedately and put him back in tank. she said he seems ok just scared..... i told her to watch his swimming and make surehe eats... anything i should look for. spine damage or anything?

If he starts swimming vertically with tail down that would probably mean a spinal injury.

ok ....ill look tomorrow

I'm taking the plunge on t5 additions hybrid to go with my ghl mitras. Hoping to add some par to very ends of the tank. It was that or get a 3rd mitras lx7. But cost wise and building a t slotted hanging fixture. A hybrid is easier. And I'll get that extra umph with t5 that suppose sps love

I love the hybrid lighting approach. Worked great in the MH days and still works great in the LED days. It will definitely even out the PAR a little and you will find the contracts from the LED direct light is a little reduced.
