With all the different things being made and shared in the 3d printing world it can be really hard to find what is even available to us reefers. To help remedy that I thought I'd start an archive thread of all the 3d printed freely available parts I am able to find.

This is only for parts that free to download and print, they do not necessarily allow for Commercial sales of the items though. You need to check the license or contact the creators if you want to sell a printed object they designed unless otherwise stated in the license agreement.

If you have any of your own parts or parts you have found that are free for personal use reply to this thread and I will add them to the list!

I have categorized the products available by theme or specific tank or accessory they are for:

Biofiltration:

Want to contribute?
If you design parts and upload them to thingiverse post them here! If you don't design parts but would like to contribute, try searching thingiverse for reef brands we commonly use and post any items you find that are not already in the archive! Try search terms for various parts of the hobby, such "coral", "powerhead", "fragging", etc.

If you appreciate and like the design someone made, consider leaving them a tip on thingiverse! It will probably be the first tip they have ever received for their design work and publicly sharing your designs is something we should all try to encourage for own benefit.

Disclaimer!
I do not own the parts listed in this thread unless my username follows after the part link. These are all files shared freely under the Creative Commons Attribute, or Creative Commons Share-a-like licenses. These licenses allow you print your own copy of the parts linked but do not allow you to sell said parts unless they mention otherwise or give you express permission to do so.
I am not endorsing any of the parts listed either for the suitability to print or use on the aquarium. Print at your own risk! If you do find one of the linked parts is not a good print or worth our time let me know and we can remove it!

WOW, thank you so much for posting this!!!!:love::love:

@Jessican Can we give @eel_river_coral access to edit this thread to make updates? I've probably forgotten how to do that.
Sure thing, he should already be able to since it’s the first post but I’ll double check, and I’ll add it to the useful links page as well.

Thank you for bringing this here. I added a second 3d printer when we were printing PPE for a couple of local healthcare providers earlier in this pandemic and since hten have been printing away items for the tanks, the 3d printers themselves and our garage workshop. I will have to look this list over as it has been a while since I did so in its last location.

Thanks again

Glad to have you here. 3d printed thread and the Dino thread are about the only two reasons I visit R2R these days.

Now I'm down to 1. 😁

Edit: well, there's also ReefPi...
I'm thankful I didn't start a ReefPi if only because it make my severance easier. Maybe someday they will start their own community forums, their project is certainly big enough for it at this point.

Who's a master. I might have an idea my ghl fan bracket broke. Wondering if a 3d printer can make a new one. That being said. If I get the 6fan unit. The brackets are in a location to be in way of my custom tank lid tab. So I wonder if bracket can be remade moving it in.

Hmm who's up for a challenge. I'll even send my my good bracket to them to duplicate

Are you looking for someone to design it or print it as well?

As of 3 weeks ago I got an error code on my printer that I've still been unable to figure out. I'm sort of dead in the water.. but I can design it...

I mean just a matching or similar to the clamp is comes with.. so I can replace the broken one.

I'd have to send the mount to you. Ghl is trying to get germany to send replacement. But. If I just get the large 6 fan kit. I would need to have made these mounts similar to the ones it comes with. But moving them in farther just to clear stuff on my tank to have an area to sit on tank.

Want me to send the bracket that ghl sends with it to see if it can be made or something similar
