Hello all,
Have you noticed how 3D printing is making its way in our hobby? Ever wondered what 3D printing is about, how and why would it be used in our hobby?

Well, our wonderful
@John Reefer Vermont and Scott @AquariumSpecialty are planning on enlightening and informing us about recent development in 3D printing in the hobby.. And maybe they might even give us a sneak peek at a product or two that are currently in development;)

It is our pleasure to invite you all to our upcoming virtual event: 3D Printing Technology - Revolutionizing how we reef. On Saturday, November19th @ 11 AM (PST)..

RSVP (register) and attend this fun interactive event where we will learn about 3D printing technology. 3D printing material and reef safe compatibility. The challenges of 3D printing in our hobby and so much more.

This is going to be one heck of an event folks..
Make sure to RSVP and mark your calendar. I will share the Zoom information a day in advance..

About Scott
Scott brings over 35 years of experience in the reefing industry. His passion for reefs began with his decision to obtain a biology degree, from Saint Andrews University. Soon after graduation, Scott began diving deeply into into the hobby and he began farming corals and offering them to local aquarium stores. Also with farming Scott took an interest in developing and manufacturing custom sumps, skimmers, fish traps and more. His extensive experience in designing aquarium equipment is very valuable and helps drive products that are unique and effective.

His passion for this industry has driven him create the Carolina Reef Experience (carolinareefexperience.net) annual trade show in Columbia, SC. His trade show is positioned to become the largest Reef Aquarium trade show in South Carolina featuring vendors from around the country. Additionally Scott started Biotek Marine and acquired the AquaNerd aquarium blog in 2015.

While his contribution to our industry is significant, what makes Scott the person we know today, are his values. Take a look at Scott’s “About us” section in Aquarium Specialty (link here). His forward thinking has made him the trailblazer he is today and positions himself as a respected leader within this industry

This is a great idea for an event. There is a lot of talent in this area on the forum. I don't have a 3D printer but enjoy seeing the innovative products that are created. Plus the solutions to tank challenges (like lids, fish traps, etc.) the products address.
