Anthias in QT - round 2

Two weeks ago I got 4 lyretail anthias - all died in QT. I just got another batch of 4 in this morning. I gave them a 30min methylene blue dip, and into the QT tank they went. I'm going to do the hybrid TTM QT protocol, with a twist - I'm worried about ammonia with 4 fish in a 10 gallon tank being fed multiple times per day. So, each day they are not switched tanks, I'm going to do a several gallon water change. Question: should I use water from my display tank to replace removed water, or freshly mixed SW?

Fish are in. I've been watching them a bit today, and I'm already worried. I HATE losing fish, and this is at odds with my underequipped knowledge base on sick fish. I know Anthias are magnets for uronema, and one of the new fish has a whitish spot on it kinda on its shoulder - pretty similar location to the google search images of uronema I've seen (Dr. google is scary!). Way too big to be ich, could be a dislodged scale or something from shipping? I already did a 30 min Methylene Blue dip when they arrived. I don't have formalin. Should I do anything else today preventatively?

I see it, but like you said it could just be a broken scale or perhaps a fluke on the fish: Flukes

They look good imo. Good luck! I'm sure it will go great
Even my wife (who doesn't really know much about fish) thought they "look good and fat". She's not wrong at all. I'm probably being paranoid because anthias are prone to uronema, and it has to be attacked early and fast if there's any hope. My QT tank is about 10 feet from my office desk, so I've been staring at them all afternoon. The great news is they are far more active than the last batch ever was.

I did about a 40% water change this morning to reduce ammonia and siphon out the bottom of the tank. They are still looking decent, but my night inspection found one developing popeye. I saw some things about Maracyn, kanaplex, and Epsom salts (not all at the same time).

Medicine I currently have: hydrogen peroxide, methylene blue, focus, one dose of furan 2, metroplex, kanaplex, copper power, and prazipro.

I don’t know what my parameters are. I’ve only had the fish since Tuesday. 10 gallons of water from my display, with a 40% change after one day. I don’t think it would be too bad by now. I haven’t noticed much for aggression at all in them. Maybe just happens when I’m not around? It’s just in the right eye for now (you can see it if you zoom in the last pic I powered)

Is the popped out eye clear or cloudy looking??

Yea that sounds like physical injury. Anthias imo are sneaky with their aggression seemingly a lot of squabbling after lights out. Maybe give them more areas to sleep/hide if you can?
That’s easy enough. Digging into my bin of random PVC parts….

This popeye is getting pretty bad. I’ve been doing daily 50% water changes, and yesterday did the first 30min hydrogen peroxide bath and tank swap. Is there anything else I can/should do for this girl?

When you look at it does it still look clear?

There's antibiotics you can give like Erythromycin however if it still looks clear it most likely is not infected and may not help here.

You can give a Methylene Blue bath, it is pretty gentle and can help along healing

Or you can grab the fish and stick it with a needle.

When I dealt with pop eye on my anthias it looked quite similar and it did take weeks to go away but it did eventually. I'm pretty confident your girl will heal too given enough time as long as infection doesn't set in and she's eating well.

The eye still looks clear - definitely clear. She is still eating too. The pressure that must be in there to push it that far out mush be enormous!

I’d rather not stick it just yet if I can avoid it. I’ll give it a MB bath today.

Two updates: popeye fish is holding steady. Clear eye, popped out.

The fish I originally had questions about seems worse for wear this morning. (All fish have been here a week now) Feeding response has been low for two days. Then this morning it’s swimming a little funny - at an angle, and seems to be breathing heavier. It also has a film, or fuzz on it. These are the best pics I could get.

From the searching I’ve done, I fear this may be Brook?
