Hey guys

So about 3 weeks ago my bigger clownfish nipped at my smaller one which took a very small nip out of his fin(under his body)

The nipping has stopped and they swim around together all the time
Both eating and acting normal

But now hes getting like a white "fluffy" type thing in the section he got nipped, and at first it was tiny but it just seems to be getting bigger and bigger
But just want to know is this just healing process or is it something im unaware of ?
I have a spare tank ready to go if i need to treat with something

As rare as it is in Marine fish that looks like a Fungal issue... You can either use Methylene Blue Baths or Reef Rally to get that under control. You also could use NFG as that is a bit more of a shotgun approach but contains Methylene Blue....

If you are going to do the NFG Baths I suggest doing .1 G per Gallon for 30 minutes.

You can find the info on Methylene Blue here: Methylene Blue

Hope that helps and I am not 100% sure what you can get your hands on over there in Australia...

I'd do daily baths for at least a week before considering formalin.
Thank you
Will get onto it today !

Brooks looks like there entire slime coat is coming off... So I am 99% sure its not Brooks...

Bacterial Infection typically stay on the body so I am pretty darn sure that is not a bacterial infection as well.
Yep i thought it wasnt brook because its been there for a couple weeks but just seems to be getting bigger

Will keep you guys updated with results

Thanks guys

The concentration of the MB here is 1.3%

Do i still follow the bath instructions on your article ? 5ml for 5 gallon ?
Or do i just follow instructions on the bottle

So ive just gotten home from work and coincidently the bulk of the white fuzz has come off?

Maybe it got bitten off ?

Do i proceed with treatment ?

@Dierks @Humblefish

An update as promised

The clown is doing 100% better so after plenty of research, it was extremely difficult to find out bath ratios for the methylene blue we have here in aus

I ended up doing double dose for 30 minute bath (once only) and it worked out thankfully

Thanks guys heres some pics
