I’ve got a few fish showing symptoms of flukes. I added a Kole Tang last week that may or may not have flukes. One of my wrasses came out of the rocks after hiding a couple of days with a cloudy eye. My starry blenny has been hiding in the corner as well. It’s my understanding that Prazi is pretty mild but effective so I went ahead and just dosed it this morning to the reef. Skimmer lid has been removed but still going to provide oxygenation, carbon reactor is off, as well as UV. Air stones are going as well just in case. Fed everybody a great big meal this morning since I know Prazi can suppress the appetite.

Anemones and xenia are pissed initially, but I’ve read they should bounce back fine. I’ve never had to dose anything medication-wise other than Stress Guard so this is making me anxious. I feel like this anemone looks.

I hope so too! I watched the fish this morning and, I don’t know if it’s because I’m getting used to seeing him with a large belly, but it looks like the bulge isn’t quite as big as it was before. I haven’t seen the spots come back or any odd behavior since that first day. Here’s a little video I took before dosing the Prazi.

How is your son handling the new stress?
He’s camping with his grandpa, grandma and sister this weekend so he doesn’t know yet. Sometimes he takes these changes in stride, sometimes it hits him really hard. Hopefully by the time he gets home on Sunday things will be looking better.
