he's back in his bath again. i think the red spot is slightly less today? seems less obvious at least. if it sticks around and he stays healthy i want to name him rudolph

also gonna have to figure something out for my bath equipment. i think i'll insta clean it after this one so it's ready to go for tomorrow. i'm fairly certain they don't have ich and they're past their 2 baths for velvet. the original tank they came from still has the two black mollies and the other sharknose and nobody seems to have spots in there. altho hard to get a good look since my cat loves to pester that tank since it's on the floor :ROFLMAO:

guess i'm giving him another bath tonight at midnight. hopefully with meds this time. i was gonna tank swap tonight anyway, but i feel bad for the poor fish getting caught so many times, he's really gonna hate me

No, will not hate you. May be angry and give you a stern look but after that nothing but golden bombs of light and love!

and back in the bath WITH cipro this time

i won't lie catching fish at night with red flashlight is pretty nice

altho the goby is annoying at any time. that freaking fish just becomes the tote or glass or whatever it's in and it's so tiny it's scary to try to grab it

forgot to update but bathed him yesterday and he's in his bath again today

final tank move will be soon. as soon as my stupid heater heats the water up from 71..

also i had a thought, after i'm done with these guys, i still have the other sharknose goby and 2 black mollies just hanging out. what if i did a water change from my fallow DT and put the DT water in a small tank with the two black mollies? i'm guessing it wouldn't be a guaranteed certainty my tank was disease free if they don't show up with symptoms, but it'd at least make me feel good? i'm still waiting until may to drop fish back in either way, i just wouldn't mind a bit of peace of mind

It's worth a shot, but if there aren't many tomonts left in your DT then you might not capture any free swimmers during the water change.

i did the 2nd round of GC yesterday and moved them today

i'm not sure what the deal is, but i'm not sure the blackcap is doing well. just seems lethargic and doesn't do much. i chalked it up to bare qt and stress, but idk ever since i put them in the observation tank with some rock and sand he's just head first into a rock 🤷‍♂️

They hide a lot, and for some strange reason I've had issues with them tangling with fairy & flasher wrasses. Like a knockdown dragout.

blackcap seems back to normal, so that's good. i don't think he enjoyed the constant tank swaps and me catching the sunburst every night for baths. toward the end he wasn't even going for food, but today i fed and boom he zoomed out and grabbed food so i think he'll appreciate being left alone in that tank for a month or so. i am definitely putting a light on that tank soonish tho because i want to see better
