hi, my chromis developed this white patch that’s extruding out of the right side of it’s body. Eating and swimming fine for now. Is this uronema or some other bacterial/fungal infection/growth?
Any suggestions for treatment? I have GC and Kanaplex on hand
P.S. sorry about the picture quality, my qt is a literal plastic box so it’s not very clear.

It does indeed look like uronema. Are they isolated?

Yes in a qt tank.

Should i do a bath for all of them or only the one that’s infected?

All of them, then into a new tank if possible. If not dose one of the drugs that will keep uronema at bay while they recover. Methylene Blue is good too for in-between baths. Simply want to heal up any wounds before they can get infected again.

Alright I only have one qt, so i’ll dose kanaplex and metroplex (correct me if in wrong, kanaplex is for the wounds to heal, metroplex is to kill of uronema IN the tank, right?) and do the baths every 2 days. Just did the first one today, will update if successful or not.

Update, I’ve done 3 baths at this point. Lost 2 (1 was the original one i posted. That white patch became the typical red sore and it died, another got a white patch and died). At this point they all look good and are eating fine. Dosing kanaplex and metroplex in the qt tank. My question is, do i stop with these 3 baths and just continue the meds in the water? The thread recommended to do only 3 baths.
Also, should I keep dosing kanaplex after this or stop? (It recommends up to only 3 doses)

Not bad... losing two is pretty expected.

Yup, so now we will watch over them for two weeks. You don't need to dose the Kanaplex anymore if you arent seeing anything with open sores or if anything is healing.
