For those interested here is a quick snapshot of one wholesalers availability today of Captive Bred Marines. All are available as of this post.

Check out the captive bred Holacanthus passer, Centropyge interruptus and last but not least the very rare Genicanthus personatus - T.B 3 in stock. One for Adam Sandler to add to his current Personatus collection.

Nice selection! Looks like EU hobbyists have a lot available to them. I thought that they wouldn't have much at all, with them not having nearly so much direct access to ORA and BIOTA fish as we do. Does anybody know what the main aquaculture groups are over there? Interesting to see the large "predatory" fish like palometa, lockdowns, and trevally.

As hobbyists we have access to all the main USA marine ornamental aquaculture such as Biota, ORA, Sustainable Marine, Paraquatix, Vossen, Bali Aquarich, etc through our wholesalers in Europe, also anything from Quality Marine as they partner with TMC Europe / UK.

We have a number of other marine aquaculture providers in France, (My Ecoreef Solution and Pholium in the UK. Some of these species are as far as I know exclusive to Europe. Dejong Marinelife also has a large aquaculture facility in the Netherlands.

The selection I posted is simply what is in stock, the full list is much greater.

All of the wholesalers in Europe have their stock lists public, so hobbyists are available to view and then ask the Retailer to order for them.

The larger species are mainly for public aquariums who want Captive Bred.

i've never understood why the US wholesalers don't do this. instead i'm left to just endlessly nag random lfs to check the lists for stuff

like they should even have hobbyists able to sign up to their website with an account and then access the current stock list, just hide the price

Quality marine has their stock list public. I’ve been checking daily lately for stuff I’m looking for 😁

now i don't have to randomly drive to my lfs and casually list stuff that i might want for him to whip out his laptop and check the stocklist

You need them to know what you like so they whip out the stock list and be like “hey Matt do you want this”?
