The back right is currently a precariously placed stack of rocks, mostly for looking at size. But I kinda like the general look of it.

Are you gluing the rocks or just stacking?
Gluing. Right now just using CA to tack things in place while I experiment. The back right though I just kinda stacked up temporarily to get an idea of what size it would be. Later I will go back with epoxy or might check out this CA/sand thing I was just told about.

I had a IM112 but sold it. Mine didn't come in a fancy crate like that and they changed the stand obviously because mine didn't have doors on the side either.

Did you buy it direct from IM? Just curious how it was shipped if not in a crate. Ya, the side doors are relatively new I think. I can't imagine having such a deep stand with only front access.

What lighting did you use? It's hard to tell in the pic. That's one thing I'm unsure about how to handle. Thinking of 2 xr30s (I already have them from my current tank) running parallel to sides like you have. If I was buying lighting I think I would do 4 xr15s.

I purchased it from BRS but it was shipped direct from IM. It was on a pallet in a cardboard box see below pictures. I used two Giesemann Vervve LED fixtures with 2 Orphek 24" blue plus led bars. They were hung from a "custom" aluminum 1020 frame I built which hide all the wires nicely so none could be seen from the front. I HATED trying to work in the stand, side doors would have made it much nicer. It was a very nice tank but I purchased it and then a few weeks later I was forced to move. It didnt fit the new house as nicely as the prior one so I sold it and did a 8ft in-wall tank. I will say it scratched pretty easily and it was setup as a bare bottom tank. I had a custom Lifereef sump and fuge built for it because there were almost no options for sumps that maximized the available space.

Awesome! Thanks for the pics. Helps me better picture what I need to do for equipment. That's quite the sump!

No side doors was going to be a deal breaker for me. And leaving the side panels off wasn't going to be an option with 2 big dogs and a toddler...

Looks good. Be careful how close you get to the glass, and don't forget to add some clearance for corals as well so you'll be able to clean the glass. I left room around my rockwork but didn't consider that my corals may grow past the rocks.
Ya definitely. The only one that really ends up close is the top piece on the back. I might trim that back a little if I keep this configuration

I have read about APS stands and the 5/16" foam PVC floors on the stands being too flexible to load with sump and such. I cut a piece of 1/2" plywood to help support the PVC.

It makes the floor much less flexible.

Any ideas for making the floor of the stand a waterproof catch basin? Obviously the PVC is waterproof. Should I try to attach PVC sidewalls to it? Use some kind of tape to seal it to the bottom rails of the stand?
