Looks good. Can't wait to see how it compares to the UV. I run UV on my larger tanks as a parasite back up for piece of mind just in case anything slipped through QT. But I really won't ever know if it is actually working just because theres no diesease present. And while it definitely helps somewhat with algae, I don't think I'm getting the most out of it for algae control at the GPM I run through it for parasites. Seems like Ozone can accomplish both. Are you going to use an air dryer?

Here is my ORP chart before adding and air pump and after adding it. My PH has also increased in my tank not sure if that is normal or not.

Looks like I need to turn the Ozone generator down a little as it is cycling on/off ever 30 mins or so. I now have it set to turn on at or below 380 and off at 405. earlier today I had it set to turn on at 390 or below this is the reason you see different slopes in the graph.

This is really interesting to see pre and post ORP. Thanks for doing these posts so we can see what's happening.

What is your reasoning for picking the value of 380 to turn on?
Has the ORP at around 380 to 400 value been shown to be beneficial vs a lower threshold of say 300 to 350?
I'm trying to wrap my mind around ORP and haven't been able to yet

Honestly I just picked those numbers. From the limited reading I've done on Ozone you dont want to be in mid 400's so I set it to shut off at 405. I want it to be as stable as possible so I want to keep it around the 380-400 range. Next I just want to adjust the generator so it isnt cycling on and off as often. If I need to lower it I can if I see any negative effects. But to answer your question I dont know if 300-350 is any different than 350-400. I'm still learning and experimenting myself.

I've always read the same thing. But for some reason my ORP has always been in the upper 300/lower 400 range without Ozone. Maybe my probe is bad. The big dip was during a water change. I'm thinking of experimenting with Ozone myself on my 220 mixed reef (mostly softies and LPS) and went ahead and bought the unit while it was on sale. I'm not sure how to attack the set points though with my naturally higher ORP readings. I'd hate to buy the Milwaukee ORP checker just to compare. And a new probe ain't cheap either.

I would have to think something is up with your probe but then again I'm new to the ORP thing. My probe is brand new as I only purchased it for this Ozone project.

I never concerned myself with the actual reading just trends. But with Ozone I think I’d be more concerned with actual reading. I think I’ll take it out and clean it and see what happens. At $90 for a replacement, I think I’d rather just purchase the Milwaukee controller and be more flexible if cleaning it doesn’t work.

This is the probe I am using. $54
