Following the success of the ReeFi® Duo Extreme, ReeFi® Uno continues ReeFi’s mission to make premium LED fixtures that will be affordable. One of the hard lesson learned from the Extreme is the importance of design for manufacturing. It’s easy to make a few prototype but scaling up for mass production creates more complications. Using the latest PCB fabrication technology, ReeFi® Uno incorporates 2 layers copper substrate PCB with direct thermal path technology which allows the LED diodes, IC drivers, dual-core microcontroller and WiFi to all be on the same PCB. This eliminates many steps in the manufacturing process and eliminates many assembly concerns while still maintaining the best thermal pathway to export heat. Other innovations includes gas exchange vapor chambers to greatly improve transfer heat from the LEDs to the heatsink fins. This enables the use of higher heat density LEDs such as the 4in1 larger LED diodes, thus doubling the number of LED diodes in the same 6×6 LED puck arrays. ReeFi® Uno also incorporates ReeFlectors®, which have become one of the favorite innovations to prevent blinding side glares.

Features and Specs at a Glance

  • Complete blue to UV spectrum coverage for best coral coloration and growth.
  • Broad wide spectrum PC Amber, Lime, with Cool and Warm White LEDs bring out the vivid colors of fishes and corals.
  • ReeFlectors® – Anti-glare, more even light distribution, color blend, and natural shimmer in compact form factor with individual ReeFlector™ for each LED diode.
  • 9 Color Spectrums with 9 individual channels and highest precision dimming of 0.097% increments.
  • Auto time sync and Auto moon phase lighting capable on any combinations of channels. Design your own moon color.
  • Easy to setup and program with built-in WiFi web server, fully customizable program schedule settings that can be saved to file for backup and sharing.
  • Advance cooling to keep LED at optimal performance with temperature sensor and PID fan control.
  • 72 LED diodes in 6×6 array, using 12 larger 4in1 LEDs.
  • 180W max power, 83.3% of the power level of ReeFi® Duo Extreme.
  • Surpassing industry standards with 3 Years Limited Warranty

Here's another look at the heat pipes on a prototype that I have been running for about 6 months. These heat pipes explain how this little
light can run at a whopping 180 watts. Quiet operation, no side glare, great blending, powerful, and innovative design. I love
mine!

It's been a bit crazy getting first production batch of ReeFi Uno here. Latest update I received is that my ReeFi cargo will arrive at Seattle port on 2/19, then need to clear US Customs before deliver to my warehouse. I can't wait to start fulfilling all the pre-orders and add more ReeFi Uno to new display tank.

ReeFi's new display tank is 10ft x 42" x 36"H. I'm still remodeling the sump room so tank is only filled with 400gal. I have 3 ReeFi Unos just temporary placed on top.

ReeFi Uno shipments have finally arrived! First batch of pre-orders went out today. I should be able to ship out rest of the orders in a day or two.

They are pretty awesome. I'm going to put 5 or 6 of them over my big tank.
I’d go way overboard and end up getting another controller, alk tester, fancy powerheads, and it would be a money pit. Not like that’s stopped me before though :).

You going with these instead of duos for more spacing between pucks? How high above the water and how far apart will you install the lights?

Passive cooling seems to be getting more popular, but if anyone is wondering the fans on duos are silent in normal mode. I assume the uno is the same way. It's great being able to see the LED temp on the display and web portal.

Yes, the fans are really quiet in the unos too.

I wanted to try them out because they are almost 2x the power in each puck. I wanted to see what my corals would do with really high par numbers.

I'm not sure how high or far apart I will mount them, but I'll update my build thread when I get them mounted.

i may jump on the bandwagon here. havent picked out lights for my 72x36x27, looks like 3 would do it
I would probably put 4 over a 6 foot tank.

They really are a good value. You could even do 5 of them for only slightly more than the cost of 2 Radions.

Have a targeted PAR range in mind? Really cool that the Uno has the same number of LEDs and ~80% of the power of the Duo. Had the Uno been available when I purchased my Duo Extremes, I probably would have gotten the Unos.

@ReeFi really nice comparison chart, sure beats having 20 browser tabs open to compare specs :)

Daniel's customer service is excellent, I'm sure he'd be happy to discuss your application and make recommendations!

Congrats on shipping out the unos. I’m curious and have 2 questions
1. I see that the control is done on a local site, is it possible to send an api call to activate one of the quick profiles? iPhones can now easily setup api calls that can be activated with a widget on the home screen so it would be cool to activate a whiter spectrum for taking pictures.
2. any plans for something smaller targeted for the nano tanks like IM10 and Evo13.5?

Each ReeFi is a local webserver. If you can send TCP cmd with api calls, then you can use it to activate one of the quick profiles. I'm working on enable Alexa or Google assistance for voice cmd to activate quick profiles. It's probably a few weeks out as I'm going to get all the orders shipped out first.

Interesting the more I read up on these fixtures.

Has any thought been given to power supply consolidation with higher amperage but ability to run 2 uno's?

Any Canadian customers so far?

If both ends are about the same length and you can find power supply between 26v to 30v up to 400W, then it's possible. If DC side of the cord length is greater than 9ft, it gets tricky as there will be voltage drop due to wire resistance.
