Slow 100 gallon build

Users who are viewing this thread

This has been a slow build but the plan is to be done prior to my daughter leaving for college this fall. With the end of club/school volleyball and swim I am going to need something to occupy my time.

The stand is powder coated. I used 1.5" x 3/16" square tubing. It is way over built but there is not much cost difference and the only time the extra weight matters is when moving it. I would have to draw it up to test but I would proablly use the same design for a 6 foot tank. The weakest point is the leveling feet.

Thermowells for Ranco temp controller. Removed the rubber/plastic that was around the thermocouple should give me faster response without that insulation. Thermal paste in the bottom then epoxy to seal it. I was out of bigger shrink tubing when that come in that will be the final seal.
