Found the flesh floating around in the tank today looks just like it did when it was attached to the skeleton

My nutrients are finally coming up after being at almost zero for the past month.

I cut my phosphate and nitrate dosing in half.

Coral qt is just not worth it to me. If I was running a tank full of lps and sps I would prob have an observation tank just too make sure I’m not introducing say flatworms.

I do not have anything in the coral QT tank now it is just running in a dark closet. Amazing how clean it is getting with just no light. Future coral QT is going to be different with AWC running thru the QT tank.

I did send a sample to Reef-Labs for an ICP here are the results

I know I am going to regret posting this but nutrients seem to be getting more stable or at least in a normal range. I am dosing 0.03 ppm phosphate each day and 0.5 ppm nitrate. The zoas that I dipped in H2O2 Sunday are starting to open so maybe they will start to shade the algae that is starting back already. One of my snails went to town on the algae growing at the tissue line on my trumpet coral hopefully they will continue to keep it down. Two more of the goni melted away so now I have one thriving and one surviving.

I hope you are right but I do not have a lot of confidence. I go on vacation next week but when I get back I am doing something different. For sure going to add more fish
Some look really good but others not so I am taking that I am not a total failure
The flesh that came off my neon trumpet is still floating around the tank and is bright

Nope we have a baby girl on Monday! So things are a bit postponed. Give me an extra week. Sorry for the delay

Congratulations.

My 19 year old is going to be a sophomore at Minnesota next week. Moving her into her apartment on Sunday. She was is the dorms last year.

I waited 7 months for my first fish order from a different vendor so I am good at waiting. Will the lavendar tang work in my IM 100ext?

Well if you are going to be in MN why not just stop at the shop and... Shop!

If he is the only tang he should be just fine I have a 7" tang in my 75 and I broke my own rule and placed a second tang in there when they were little. They get along fine... For now. Two tangs just always carry a risk.

Still struggling with zoas. Seems like my peroxide dips just make a clean surface for new algae if the zoas do not open quick enough after the dip

I have thought this as well. I think with h202, you clear the surface of life and the algae takes back over. My snail shells are a perfect example. I would hit them with h202 and they would look good for about a week and then turn into GHA again. I started just scrubbing them instead and eventually they stopped growing GHA. I assume because something else took the shell over. 🤷
