Not the greatest picture but I'd say Hippo is ~7in. Powder Blue is ~5, other 3 are more in the 3-4 range. The distance between those powerheads is 9 inches and the PB is a little back from the glass making her appear smaller than she is.

Honestly, I would not attempt TTM with fish that large. In just a 20 gal, the tangs will start fighting and ammonia will undoubtedly be an issue.

I think these fish would most likely tolerate chelated copper (even the angels) just fine: Copper treatment

Or even hypo if you are 100% sure this is Ich (and not velvet): Hyposalinity

P.S. Are these fish you bought from me a few years ago??

Some of them are from you. Some are ones I did copper on myself before I decided it was easier to buy them pretreated.

I'm pretty confident it's ich. If it were velvet I think there'd be some death by now. I haven't exactly been racing to get them treated in part because I don't have a trap to get them out. I'll probably pick one up from the LFS this weekend. And with only 20Ls (and a 40 breeder but only 1 of those) I didn't think iI could do them all at once no matter the method. And lastly because the copper I have on hand (Coppersafe) expired years ago and I've long since sold my Hanna copper checker. So I've been trying to figure out the best course of action.

And I was even considering doing TTM one by one if needed.

You could do 2-3 at a time, and have a large observation tank cycled to put them all into post TTM.
Yeah, I was thinking I would go buy a 100 or 150 gallon rubbermaid from the local Rural King as an observation tank. I happen to already have a bucket of rock (started as dry rock) that's been cycling for probably a month already as I was thinking of switching up parts of the aquascape that I could use in the rubbermaid.

I may give the DIY trap a shot. I've used one from the LFS before that works pretty well for a couple fish that outgrew the tank.

On my 2nd transfer from the first tank that had contaminated DT water. So technically 1st real transfer. I went 42 hours, is that still a safe time frame?
Also, happy to say I did my first successful freshwater dip of all my fish between the last transfer. Didn’t see obvious flukes, but have never seen them in person, so.
lastly, the blenny has developed some fin shredding and red-like wound on them sort of like a scab. Not uronema sores. Is that normal healing or should I be worried? I know everyone says furan-2, but idk if it’s just me but I can never find that for sale anywhere. 87E0D2CB-D70B-408E-9B64-359B2B1B067D.jpeg

For standard 72 hour transfers, yes. (y) For 36 hour transfers (Velvet TTM), no.(n)

Could be a bacterial infection. This is basically the same thing as Furan-2: Everything Aquatic

^^ TTM sticky updated with new information for eliminating velvet
Hello, I don't know if someone will read this, I'm kind of new here. I've been in the hobby a number of years but always learning. I've been doing qt now that I didn't do in the beginning. I've successfully qt a number of fish with copper power and prazi, metro etc. I'm looking to get a Mandarin and know of the issues with copper and prazi. I want to try the ttm and wonder if you can give me your opinion on my idea. I want to use 4 x 5 gal clear Rubbermaid containers each with their separate heater, air stone power head. I'll fill all with the same water so sg will be the same in each. I have live rock in my dt sump with cheato and I pour pods in the sump. I want to put a piece of lr in each container so each transfer of the Mandarin he'll have pods to hunt for the 3 days he's in each container till qt is finished. Would this be a good route. Also I have black mollies in qt for back up.

Thanks in advance
Brian
