TehMadReefers let it ride 60 cube

So this will be for my build.

It’s a 60g cube that I don’t really test anything but salinity. I don’t qt and buy most my fish from Petco, cos it’s right down the street from me and this is just a lil tank. Mixed reef with sps being dominant. Run a skimmer rated for over 300g and water changes every week or 2.

Started in January of 2021.

Tank now at 8 months. Disregard the gha and no coralline algae, there is lots of coralline in there it’s just bleached due to heavier use of LC to starve out the gha. The coralline will come back in a few days…

Need to get some more sps in there but I hate buying packs since I’m picky about what I want. So it’ll do for now.

Small update. Moved the tank back in November and corals spent almost a week in totes with no light… Had a gha outbreak from the disruption and put new t5 bulbs on last night. Everything is settling in now and no losses from the move. Battling the ole 0 nitrate issue but overall tank runs itself.

My critters were also in 5g buckets for a week after I moved. No losses, the water in one of the buckets got to 70 for most of that time as well

No idea! Lol some I’ve had since 2007 that i bought from a reefer and some is from various islands in the Caribbean that I brought back.

Here an under tho hood shot. Pretty basic. A heavy duty tote, massive skimmer, heater and rock rubble from the Caribbean and Florida beaches. It’s a super kiss setup lol

Yep set and forget. No fiddling around since you can’t. Lol Bulbs replaced every 12-14 months.

Brs tested at 18 months and it was Gucci to replace then or even a little later. They have a vidya on it

I see. I thought it was like 14, but 18 even better cos I couldn’t afford Gucci bulbs
