Yes, he was swimming around slowly yesterday after the MB was added. Today not so much.

No interest in food, breathing heavy and just sitting on the bottom of the tank. Hoping for the best but doesn't look good.
The only time I've had this issue with triggers is from water quality issues. The same thing happen to my clown trigger while in QT but I did a big water change and the next day he was good to go.

The only thing I can think of is the power outage. He was flying around the tank and eating from the moment I put him in there.

He's still alive and hiding in the pvc. I can't tell if he's breathing heavy or not but he's completely upright in the pvc. I'm keeping the room darker for now, very minimal light. Not quite sure what to do other than leave him alone and maybe try putting a bit of food in this afternoon?

Yes I would just keep trying meaty foods like LRS and keep working/making sure water is perfect. No ammonia, good oxygen, etc.

Do you have an ammonia alert badge on the tank for active monitoring? You might need to pull it out to see the color with methylene blue in the water.

Yes and it seems to be reading good. I use the light shining from behind it trick to illuminate. I have one in my dt sump I can swap it with if colour reading becomes an issue.
I've put just a bit of clam in, the size of about 6 grains of rice so far spread over 2 feedings. He's quite small and his belly seems full, he was in good shape when I got him. I'm going to give him two more small pieces right now but I don't want to throw in too much at once.

I put in 3 small pieces and he ate 2 of the 3 immediately. I pulled the 3rd out when he retreated to his pvc. I'm very happy that he's eating right now.
That's great news! I'm betting the oxygen level dropped in the QT when the power was out and it's just taking him a few days to recover from that.

I had dosed General Cure the day before so that could have lowered the oxygen even more when the power went out :(

I'm hoping he's zipping around in the next few days as he's due his second dose of GC Friday/Saturday. Worst case he stays longer in QT and I start from scratch.

Ammonia is at zero right now luckily but I'm thinking I should replace my biofilter in the next few days due to dosing methylene blue. I have a large sponge between two of my baffles in my dt sump. Would some of that be a suitable replacement for the matrix?
I have fresh sw mixed and ready to go as well.

Yes, that will work nicely. Just run carbon to pull all the MB out before adding the sponge.

Would 24 hours be sufficient for the carbon to remove MB?
He's eating a bit more today and will take white worms now in addition to clam. Breathing seems normal and he's just hanging out in his pvc.
