Anyone's input on this? The QT is currently undergoing CP treatment.

I have a micro lab so I can get a skin scrap and stain the sample. Then see what is growing on the fish.

How long has it been undergoing chloroquine? Any behavioral changes? Eating well? Initial thoughts is a bacterial infection or uronema
Bought the chromis (1 of 2) today. Its been in my care for less than half a day. I noticed the red-colored skin after a close look. During the temperature acclimation, I dosed about 3 mL of Ruby Rally to the bag of water and let both chromis soak for about 30 minutes. I tested the salinity and it was at 1.022. The current QT salinity's is 1.022 which was convenient. I fed some PE calanus and both ate. I'm planning to hatch some baby brine shrimp to get some food. Later in the day I plan to start the medicated food with metro.

Symptoms I noticed large red sore as in the picture, light coloration (compared to the other chromis) and a little lethargic. I upped the dosage of chloroquine phosphate to 80 mg/gal.

The fish in the photo died this morning. The second chromis now has an observable faint red sore. It was in a corner and was not swimming around as much. Today I lowered the temperature of the tank from 78F to 75C. I bought melafix and gave the chromis a 30 minute bath. The fish seems more responsive and is not in the same corner. I will be giving another bath (fresh saltwater 1.022) Friday and the last one Sunday. The QT (1.022 s.g.) is still dosed with chloroquine phosphate 800 mg.

Likely to be uronema :( the melafix bath is a good idea. I would do at least 3 baths a week. I would also feed metro laced food to try and tackle any internal uronema.

Second chromis has died while in the melafix bath. Maybe I dosed too much. The sores worsen and they were closer or more pronounces in the head area today. I'll try scrutinize the fish more before purchasing.
