HELP Vermetid or Spirobis?

Is this a code red? Or are they harmless?

Neither animal I would call "code red". I would venture to guess that 95% or more of tanks you would aspire to keep have both. Probably 100% of brick and mortar stores have both and 99.9% of online venders have both.

I would venture to guess both are Spirobis. I have a good bit of experience with both and typically Spirobis are white and vermetids are not white(they are more tan, grey, brown). That said there are multiple species of each and I am sure there are more that are yet to be described. Some people would consider both of the family of Vermetidae and genus Spirobis pests.(I consider the later a minor annoyance and not really a real pest)

@Jessican would you do me a solid and move this post into the pests section. I certainly understand that this is a concern, but in the Help 911 Section, this feels a little bit of a stretch.

Personally, I stop in the middle of my workday to answer questions in this section or at least make sure the person is getting help. I would like this to stay true to emergency-type of issues.

I know I sound like an ass here, but this is the only section I would ever say anything. Thank you @Alberto1990 for understanding
