Captured the tank tonight in some glory. Did a water change yesterday, did a bi-annual skimmer clean tonight, did a nice long frozen feed sesh, everything is loving life atm.

What happens with the zoas growing towards the acros? I found some of my zoas like higher light so I put them somewhat close to acros and am curious what happens when they meet
They have no place to go, mine have started to morph which is kind of cool. I’m at the stage of gluing sps on top of zoanthids if I get new pieces.

the zoanthids completely surround the acros, but they don’t grow up over them, only if they are dead, and even then I have some stuff bouncing back under zoa clusters.

So I swapped my sump out over the weekend. No other reason than I had a nicer one that I wanted to use. Now my plumbing is completely silent, and I can hear my skimmer pulling mad air, which drives me more nuts than hearing that nice water gurgle all day long I was so used to!

The age old oh 💩 how much stuff do I have in the sump! lol new sump looks great though! You definitely need to get a skimmer silencer by the sounds of it lol

The answer is... a lot. A lot of 💩. Oh HEY! That's not a bad idea on the airline silencer! This tank is getting wild, every time I take the frag rack out, I end up putting it back in again, and adding even MORE corals!

nice new sump

Thank ya! I figured it would look better under the stand and hooked up than laying around in my basement. Ironically, I was going to use this for a nearly 200 gallon tank, and now it's on a 22 gallon tank, lol. My dream is to have this tank plumbed into a 150 gallon rubbermaid sump in the basement.

I think that would be awesome. I’ve thought it would be cool to have multiple smaller tanks connected to a sump and do single coral species tanks. All monti, all zoa, all toadstools, etc

The 3’ length on this tank just makes it seem bigger than it is

Yeah, I'm not super big on multiple tanks, but every time I try to go up I just want to go back to the nano 100% dedicated. At this stage, all the vortechs are new, new finnex heater w/ controller, lights are made for a 100 gallon tank at least, and now a new sump. The Reef Octopus 110 INT is probably the best skimmer I've ever owned in terms of performance, the next BIG issue I see myself having in this tank is coral warfare. It's ass to ankles front to back in there and corals are rapidly encrusting.

I should probably break out the DSLR and snap some photos soon, but I've learned from @Wrangy not to make promises about those types of things!

I've been spending pretty frivolously lately, and trying to tighten up my wallet for the summer, BUT I really want a Tamron 90mm f/2.8 SP AF Di Macro Lens to get close and dirty. Anyways, until then, here's some recent shots.

thats so pretty!

Thank you!

@YHSublime That's one BAD ASS looking tank! :Thumbs_up_green:

Thanks! I took out the frag rack not to long ago, but now it's right back again, it's currently the only thing I don't love about it. I've got a brand new HD AI that I think I'm going to setup in the sump with an MP10 and make a frag station down there.

How many of you are running "frag tanks" in your sump? How many of you are running wavemakers in your sump?!

Am I crazy? Should I do it?!

Here's an old glory days shot for attention. I'm slowly working my way back to this, but there's a hell of a lot more LPS and softies now this go around, I kind of like the really mixed reef, but I forgot how fast the easy stuff grows!

You are not crazy... crazy is not using the little space you have
